Pass-through
Stripe's costs, at cost
Splitbag adds nothing on top of what Stripe charges to move the money. Those costs appear as their own line on the builder's statement.
Collecting the commission
By US bank debit, Stripe's published price is 0.8% of the debit, capped at $5. A card is the fallback.
Paying the contributor
Stripe's payout costs are at cost and shown on your statement, so you can check them against Stripe.

Debits and payouts
Does it cost anything?
Core Splitbag is free for builders and contributors, with no fee on commissions. Pro is $49 a month per builder workspace and adds featured placement, advanced reports, team seats, API and webhooks, a branded page, priority review and bulk offer tools. Contributors never pay. Stripe's own costs pass through at cost.
Link to this questionWhen do contributors get paid?
Statements close on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. The builder is debited when a statement closes and the contributor is paid from settled funds, inside the New Jersey 30-day and New York 5-business-day windows. Commissions inside a hold period are paid on the first statement after the hold ends.
Link to this questionWhat is the hold period?
A commission stays pending for the length of the product's own refund window, which the builder sets. That keeps refunds from turning into payouts that have to be clawed back.
Link to this questionWhat happens on a refund or dispute?
The commission on that charge is reversed in proportion, on the next statement, for as long as the charge can still be disputed. It shows as a signed line on the statement.
Link to this questionHow does the builder pay commissions?
By US bank debit through Stripe by default, with a card fallback. Debits happen when a statement closes and only when commissions exist.
Link to this questionWhat are the Stripe pass-through costs?
Stripe's ACH Direct Debit price is 0.8% capped at $5, shown as its own line on the builder's statement. Payout costs for contributors are also passed through at cost and shown on the statement. Splitbag adds nothing on top.
